...and I'm not talking about living in the Midwest, though I've been questioning that a lot lately...
I signed up for the Three Tiny Movie Things swap. Again. You may remember last time, when I watched To Kill a Mockingbird, Volver, Persepolis, Rear Window, and Love, Actually. While two of those were subtitled, and I can't say I loved any of them, they weren't bad movies, though it was tough coming up with ideas for crafts (though once the ideas started flowing, I ended up with too many!).
This time my movie choices are:
Pan's Labyrinth - Subtitled! Yay! I started watching this one once, and lost interest. I really don't like subtitled movies, because if I'm going to read I'd much rather read a book.
Amelie - Subtitled! Oh, joy! This is another I think I tried from the library (around the Little Miss Sunshine time) but I have zero interest in it.
Moulin Rouge or Chicago - I have seen both of these movies, and really hated them.
Beauty and the Beast (1991 edition) - Probably one of my three least favorite Disney movies, along with Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. And Cinderella. Okay, one of my four least favorites.
Princess Mononoke - this is the one on the list I haven't seen, though I think we own it. I'm holding out a lot of hope here.
Any craft ideas you can think of? I messaged my partner and 'fessed up to my dislike, and asked some questions. If it's the costuming she likes from Moulin Rouge, I can work with that. And I'm hoping her favorite character from Beauty and the Beast isn't one of the main characters...

For Moulin Rouge, an elephant! Or like a doll dress based on one of Satine's outfits?

I however did enjoy the musicals, what I saw of them, and the Disney movies are old favorites, though I have my issues with some of them now that I'm grown.
Lots of candlestick/tea pot/whatever options with Beauty and the Beast though. Tea cozy! Baby tea cup! Origami rose. Origami tea set. *snerk* Um.
Never seen Pan's Labyrinth, but there are some creepy things in it? Perhaps you could play around with those.
*hums He had it coming, which is a great song for when you get upset at men...*

I will try to sit through Pan's Labyrinth, I know I didn't watch the whole thing last time. We'll see what I can do (I wish I was a better artist, I could draw something, maybe...).
