Just got back from the Sheriff's office, where I was fingerprinted.
They don't use ink, but a cool scanner. That was a plus.
On the down side, they can now catch me if I leave fingerprints at a crime scene. There goes my future as a cat burglar...

2. They can get fingerprints off the inside of gloves, so I'll just have to be careful with the disposal, I guess...

2. Well if you're dumb enough to leave the gloves at the crime scene you deserve to get caught.

2. This is true. But it's not just about not leaving them at the crime scene, but disposing of them quickly and in a place no one will look for them. Because if they suspect you right off, they might come to search you/your house/your car pretty quickly. And if you toss them too close to the crime scene, they might find them. So it'd probably be best to commit your crime, drive across town, then stop in a fast-food place and toss them in the trash when you're done.
...I know it sounds like I've thought WAY too much about this! Writing mysteries will do that to you...

2. Well, one trick is not to be suspected, but your logical progression makes sense. I completely understand the risks of writing mysteries.
