Well, it was always here, but my anti-virus software was out of date and I asked my husband to renew it, and... that took a few days, during which I didn't want to surf as much as I usually do. Because, well... my travels through the internets take me to some strange places, though it's not my intention or fault! ;)
So anyway, I'm back and protected, and after awhile of being more or less limited to Facebook and Twitter (which tend to be more internet-phone-friendly) I may completely overwhelm you with babble. Or not. I've already forgotten some of the things I really wanted to blog about. I have a brain like steel sieve, I tell you.
Fun things right off:
VERY NSFW, VERY LEWD, VERY... just very (funny) video from earwormhole - The Wet Spots: "Do You Take It? I showed it to the girls at our craft night last night, and they thought it was hysterical, and disturbing.
One of my tweets was picked and featured on Regretsy's "post something terrible" post! This made me giddy-happy, let me tell you. Sad, but true. Also, speakerphones are the devil. Also true, and only sad that so many people use them. (Yes, I understand the reason and the point, I still hate them - I suppose it's one thing if you're alone, and you just need your hands free and don't want to develop a permanent phone-kink in your neck, but if you're in an office, have some respect!)
THREE DAYS TO LEGO PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!!!!! I'm considering taking half a day off to come home and play, how geeky is that?! Gamestop (I've pre-ordered) opens at 10, I could leave work at 11, swing by and get the game, and be playing by 11:30. Hmmmm....
In other news:
I think I can definitely say the headaches I've been getting are migraines, whether allergy/sinus induced or not. Thursday night I saw my headache forming, it was a really pretty pattern that was a cross between the iris of an eye and a dandelion (in the fluffy white stage) that started in the center and spiraled out and around. This is apparently a fairly classic aura. Yay, me! This allergy season is kicking my ass, though I also read that being overweight is a 'cause' of migraines? I don't know. I'm the same weight I was last year, when I wasn't having headaches - migraines - just about every week. I'm going with 'one of the worst allergy seasons in history'. I've been taking Claritin daily, now, and have adjusted and can sleep through it. That seems to help.
In upcoming news:
The things I wanted to write about, but haven't:
* The peasant and the jester, completely unrelated and not at all an allegory of an experience I had at work.
* Lost vs Misplaced, and the curse of the chronically unorganized. Or: why I just need to buy Hoarders on DVD and watch it on a loop.
* 'Hoarding' justification, where is the line between hoarding and honestly being thrifty and recycling/reusing? (I need to do some things before I can write this, though)
* The all-important craft update, or: aaaahhhhh, someone talk me out of signing up for more craft swaps!
But for now, I must run off to bellydance class. I really have been reading everything everyone has been writing, just not commenting (story of my life) and I hope you all are well!
