So, the injections in my spine seemed to have made things worse, though I'm still holding out hope it'll at least go back to what it was. But it's been annoying.
Some of you might know my car recently puked mystery bits all over the garage floor, and today I realized the Odometer and Trip are no longer working. I tried resetting the Trip, no dice. The Odometer is stalled at 119,910 and based on the position of the gas gauge, I'm estimating that was 200 miles ago. If the gas gauge is no longer working, I am so screwed. I can barely get gas on time in a car with a functioning gas gauge & trip. One will be challenging enough, neither would be a disaster. I'll find out tomorrow - I'll stop and get gas and see if there's really 1/4 tank left.
SO! New car pool: pick your spot, I'll jot your name down, and some day you might win something! (The top line represents how long you think my 1998 Mustang - with something over 119,910 miles on it - will last, the column on the left is my future car)

I was going to figure out what I thought were percentages, but I'm too tired and sitting is bothering my back. So you're on your own.
I still have tons to update about, and I am still reading, I know I need to comment more, and I promise to soon...

But won't what people guess influence your car-buying decision?

Did you know I work with one of the biggest rental car companies now? I live and breathe cars...evne though I basically have no car experience! It's really interesting.

The Volvo does look cute and little (I haven't actually seen one in person) and I loved my Rabbit, back in college, so it's probably a decent choice. But! You never know what they'll come up with down the road...

Sorry, it's like an automatic response these days...
No Subaru Impreza wrx sti on the list? That should be your second car choice (after the obvious mustang) although it may involve importing. Think of the fun though (and the screams coming from any passenger as you show them the car's rallying pedigree).
Failing all of the above I reckon the Outback just so you can have a car with a boot/trunk bigger than a bread bin. ;)

1 - 6 months... not that I don't have any faith in your Mustang that pukes mysterious bit or anything...

They aren't made anymore though so it'd have to be second hand and that could take the fun out of having a shiny new car.
The newer Imprezas (from the latter half of 2007) are smaller - they're still 5 door and are modelled on the hot hatches that Europe love so much but are amazing little things. Don't even know whether they are in the American market though.
Or, if you have money to spend, go for a GTR or an old Skyline. Keep your nackered Mustang and you'd own my fantasy garage!
I'm actually no help at all, am I?
