Ah, the heat and humidity of August remained very must the same this year - I suppose it's nice that something was unchanged, but did it really have to be that? The one good thing about August is Shark Week, which, thankfully, was also mostly unchanged.


Okay, I won't spend the entire time complaining about the weather. On to happy things - like SHARK WEEK and my ... er, Bed Shark's Bullet Journal page!

Fun story - the way the extra ear pieces were packed in my new headphones had me wondering why they'd given me ONE of each size, until I found the others (days later) rolled up and under the paper that came with it (who needs to read headphone instructions?!). Glad I never complained publicly, I'd just sent a confused text to friends...

I don't know if I ever had a Raggedy Ann doll, the doll I remember (and still have) was actually made by my mother. This is from the book "Deadly Choices" about the anti-vaccine movement.

By this time, with the exception of the mask mandate, most everything was feeling pretty back to normal. Restaurants were open, though more spaced, everyone was going about their business like usual, though perhaps the strain of all the uncertainty was really beginning to wear. People weren't as willing to even give a friendly nod, and places like work the strain was beginning to show. And there's was (and still is) a long way to go...
