Yes, certain things are offensive. And people make jokes about things that really aren't funny. And those "93% of people won't repost this" statuses in Facebook are seriously overdone.
But to get upset and huffy about the one about the 'victims of velociraptor attacks' because it (somehow?) condones homophobic bullying? I... don't follow. I suppose the one about the Death Star advocates clubbing baby seals and the sports ones are all about saying yes to drugs... ? Sometimes, I think you can go looking a little too hard for a way to be offended. As another commentor said, sometimes a velociraptor is just a velociraptor.
In other news, I also stumbled upon some old wank in a community I used to belong to, nflfans, which drifted over into sf_drama and back again. I always miss out on the good stuff - not that I would have gotten involved in that debacle, there's no way I'd wade into that mess. But watching it develop would have been cause for popcorn, and there's never a bad time for popcorn (I especially like the marshmallow-flavored stuff with the really sweet topping, though it's a billion calories a serving and your microwave will smell like marshmallows for a month).

I've accomplished very little this weekend, which is sad, but I have done some cleaning, which is good. I really think if I can just keep doing 30-60 minutes most days, and learn to pick up after myself, eventually it'll be all good (how oddly parallel that is to 'if I get 30-60 minutes of exercise each day, and learn to watch what I eat...').
There was also some minor body image wank, but it got less wanky when the original poster deleted a huffy comment and I vented all my steam in my own head while I was driving home on Friday. Incidentally, it also make me realize the next great invention needs to be a Bluetooth/Sync technology that reads your blogroll to you as you're driving. That would be AWESOME.
