At 7pm I suddenly decided that I should ring in the new year with a clean office. So I furiously cleaned for about an hour, and now I'm procrastinating. I did get the gift-wrapping stuff put away, though, so that's a win. Still a really, really, really long way to go...

1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Write "2011" on all the checks I wrote. Oh, and took a road trip and saw the world's largest ball of twine. Woot!
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't know if I did last year, I don't usually, but I'm trying out this "goal" thing this year. We'll see.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Thankfully, no, that would be creepy to see (yes, I'm taking the 'closely' to mean... you get it.).
4. Did anyone close to you die?

5. What countries did you visit?
Parts of middle-of-nowhere Kansas may seem like a whole other country, but it's not. So, none.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
A billion dollars in the bank?
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Etched is a harsh word. And I'm already losing interest in this meme. Oooooh, sparkly things! Wait, what were you asking?
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving, followed closely by not killing anyone.
9. What was your biggest failure?
In the world of big failures, I don't really think I had any. It's not like I designed a widget in the LHC that failed and resulted in a black hole that sucked in the entire Earth or anything...
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not unless they've finally classified "lazy" as an illness. Which would be awesome. Other than that, bulging disk, allergies, several horrible colds, the usual.

I have no idea. To be honest, I don't remember what all I bought.

Ticker-tape parade celebration? Or just a quiet "yay"? Either way, no idea.
