Today is a craft day, and a cleaning day, and a general "I will be hella productive day". Because I say so. My to-do list has gotten way way way way WAY out of control.
But first! SPINNING! (alas, not yarn, the more literal type... the round and round until you want to fall over type)
So yesterday in Zaina's bellydance class they played the Happy Birthday song for me and we had a happy dance and I'm not good at improv when people are watching (we'd already done our Zombie dance, which seemed to entertain well, I should be able to get a video of it...) so I did the only thing I could think of - I went spinning around the inside edge of the circle. It was not a small circle. I am somewhat (very) impressed I made it most of the way around. And, apparently, it looked good and very easy, because... here's the fun part - two other people decided they would try it, too! It... did not go so well for them. They got in 3-4 not very fast turns and had to abort. So, hey, another unknown and somewhat useless talent I have! Yay!
I also got a sword for my birthday, which I am oddly good at balancing. I don't know why, but let's chalk that up to another weird talent. If I were thinner and more dedicated, I might make a half-way decent bellydancer!
On to things I really want to get done today:
* Bead on the costume for at least the duration of Vampires vs. Ninjas, which I need to watch so I can return it to the library
* Clean up my craft room, at least pick up all the crap off the floor
* Serge the edges of the socks for a friend, to make yoga-like socks
* Bills! It's that time of the month. Get them ready to mail.
* Knit stitch markers - three sets
* One set of crochet keepers IF the new jump rings work out (need to try those!)
* Clean out my car
* Finish cleaning the kitchen
* Clean off my desk (please oh please do this one!)
* Put away all the clean laundry!!!
Okay, ten things. Yes, they're kind of large, but I would be happy with a 70% success... Truth be told, I'll probably do ten completely different things...
