#57 on my list was a new recipe per month. And today I tried two new ones, and have two new ones penciled in for tomorrow. In a pinch, I might lie and count those as November's...

The green bean recipe is an old family favorite, and it is AWESOME. A complete pain in the rump to make, but awesome. You can't even cheat and buy pre-cooked bacon, because you need the grease. So. I suck at making bacon, and hate it, but for this (and for the bacon cookies) it's worth it.
The new recipes, by easy process of elimination, were the other two.
Lemon-Garlic Pork Chops: okay, I only made two chops but made the entire marinade, and can you say OHMYGODLEMONY?! And tarragon is a strong, strong, strong spice. I'm still tasting it. Neither of us were thrilled, and we already have a simple marinade for pork chops that we love (soy sauce and brown sugar) so why mess with a good thing? This card will go in the back of the box to be given away (they are all neatly laminated, so why waste it?).
Parmesan Puffed Potatoes: I did mess this one up a little - I read the card as 1/2 C milk, and tossed in what might have been a little much, and my potatoes came out too soupy. Despite that, my husband didn't mind them (I found the nutmeg a bit much) and would be willing to have them again. It'll go back in the recipe card box, though I honestly prefer straight-up mashed potatoes.
Tomorrow we have Rosemary Chicken and some rice-peach-corn-peas mixture. I'll let you know...
