...but you have to get back in the saddle somehow, and I was inspired.

(For reference, watch this.)

Hmm....Not sure I understand, but it's gotten hot on the West Coast, too.

They are odd ducks, to be sure. And I'm certain I'd lose Car Sauna pretty fast, as I have no tolerance for heat. (Have you ever watched Top Gear? It's an awesome show)

No, I've never seen Top Gear, I'm afraid. I spend most of my TV time watching films. Currently, I'm watching The Tudors, Rubicon and Mad Men. Good programs all, but I should invest those hours into banging out best sellers. :)

will trade

so cold

:(
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 01:04 pm (UTC)
I would have traded you our heat (thank goodness that has broken!) but I don't think it would have been any better for you. They had all sorts of warnings about how people with breathing problems needed to stay indoors. Even I was out of breath going outside!

It should never be colder than 50 or warmer than 75. :/
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 02:04 pm (UTC)
w-what? Was there smoke in the air or something? Because that is not a temperature that would ever trigger my asthma.
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 02:32 pm (UTC)
Nooooo, the 50-75 are my ideals.

We had 100 degrees with 80% humidity and a heat index of 115. The air was so thick it was exhausting just trying to breath.
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 02:34 pm (UTC)
Oh!

That's not hot at all, but humidity is quite evil.
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 02:40 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I know it's a trite saying, but it really is the humidity. My aunt lives in the desert and it gets hotter there, but I think we're more miserable here. Who wants to live in a sauna?

AHahahah! Brilliant. I just LOVE the expression of his that you caught there!

*makes grabby paws at your lovely James icon*
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 01:05 pm (UTC)
Aw, thanks - I waffled between a few screenshots, but settled on that one.

*pushes icon at you*

(And, seriously, I *love* your Top Gear spam, it brightens my day considerably)
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 01:12 pm (UTC)
OOoh, really, can I have fabby James icon too? Really, really?

Ah, you must let me know when I've gone Top Gear overboard as everyone has been far too polite and haven't told me lock myself in a dark room and never let myself out EVER again. And no one has taken my laptop off me and slapped my wrists for all that TG spam!

I just can't help posting....
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 01:18 pm (UTC)
Really! If you want it - like I said, probably not my best work, but I'm rusty from my icon-making hiatus.

Can you go overboard with Top Gear (other than in the literal sense, a la Black Stig)? Umpossible! Besides, if *other* people don't want to see it, there's this handy little scrolly wheel on the mouse that navigates you right past things. ;)

Those boys are irresistable!
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 01:38 pm (UTC)
Woooo! YAY! Thank you *dances around James icon*

Damn it, I accidentally posted more spam. I'm sure the computer does it by itself and I have no contol over it whatsoever...
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 02:33 pm (UTC)
Sure, blame the computer! :p
