Almost a trifecta of rhyme!

Anyway, the lights are on the tree. Only one ornament thus far, the one sent to me by [livejournal.com profile] auraesque, which has a front-and-center place and makes me smile very time I look at it. Okay, they could be hysterical giggles at this point, but still, through the light fiasco it was nice to see there.

I got a CD from a not-to-be-named person that is fabulous! I feel speckled.

And just when I thought I was as speckled as I could be, [livejournal.com profile] anam_cara_ sent me a box full of goodies. And they're MINE ALL MINE because I do like coconut and Mr. Smeddley does not. HA! Seriously, wonderful stuff and it makes me feel like my offering was pitiful. We're always hardest on ourselves, aren't we?

Well, I'm off to try to complete a few last-minute craft projects, then tomorrow it's wrapping and putting the ornaments on the tree. And hopefully, Christmas Eve will find me with nothing to do at all... and that would be bliss.

You make me smile. :) I'm glad you like her!

Squishy seems like a perfectly acceptable name to me, even though she's not a jellyfish. Octopodes are squishy, too. Certainly fiber-filled ones are!

I'm so glad you liked the assortment! You got the last of my holiday treats before my kitchen karma went to hell and every batch of everything else has not been worthy to share. I really love that macaroon recipe though- it is necessary to 'marinate' the coconut in sugar and rum over night. And please- your tote was far from pitiful, how can you say that? Seriously, and besides, think of all of the lovely, wonderful Snerfflebarglast prizes you've sent me. I use the recipe holder all of the time, and I adore the forget-me-not beads so much!

I know throwing the story in was probably a bit odd, but my thought process was- I know you like writing and short stories, and if I was any kind of a writer I would have written you a little drabble/ficlet and sent it, but since I'm not any kind of a writer, I printed out one I enjoyed and sent it instead.

Anyway, happy holidays! Do me a favor and keep the weather clear around your city on Sunday so that we can fly out of MCI!

They were (uh, notice the past tense?) awesome. I'm glad I got in while the karma was good! I don't make treats for the holidays because, while I am a good cook, the minute you put me under pressure it all goes to hell.

The story was great - I read it right away. It's a very thought-provoking piece. I liked it! And you wrote me a postcard story once that was fabulous - don't sell yourself short!

I'll do what I can for the weather, it's 28* and still raining here, so totally crappy, but by Sunday it might be 80*, you never know...

A box of surprise duckies arrived at my door yesterday! :)

They are super awesome and my crazy children are over the moon. Thank you so much! Hope you have a fantastic Christmas!

Yay! They took long enough! Stupid customs... :p

I didn't think they'd really end up being for you... I do hope they enjoy them - unfortunately, they do make pretty good projectiles... O.o
