North Carolina State women’s basketball coach Kay Yow died today at the age of 66 after a long battle with breast cancer. This, of course, is not remotely funny. The games today were filled with people saying nice things about her, about how she gave so much of herself to the girls she coached, all that good stuff.
But the guy doing the commentary on the KU game... had one of those 'I do not think that means what you think it means' moments. While discussing how she led a life dedicated to service, he said (and I quote):
"She spent her life servicing others."
Which was made even just a teensy bit more funny when they other guy chimed in with how "the world had lost a lot of love today."
