On today's agenda:

* Write at least 5,000 words for NaNo
* Clean up my office
* Finish one scarf

While it doesn't sound like much, it's already 2 pm and I haven't even started. Then again, I only got out of bed at noon and I did make breakfast, so that's one accomplishment.

The kitchen is even fairly clean, the problem is that when I pick up stuff in one room, I carry it to the place it's supposed to go in a box or bag and then it just sits there. So while the kitchen counter is clean, all the stuff that was down there that needs to be put away upstairs is piled in my office in a variety of containers. Yippee.

Oh, and for those curious, I got some more bids on my driveway and the low one is $6,200 for 6" thick concrete. Not bad, and I might be taking a chance on going for the low bid but I think I'm going to. AND, because I'd adjusted to the fact that it was going to cost so much (the only other one close was $6,900 for 4" / $8,200 for 6") I think I'm still going to go ahead any do the flooring in my craft room and office. It's only going to be $500/room, and it'd make me SOOOOOO happy. I hate this carpet. And then, some day when I next want to splurge, I'll replace all the upstairs carpet (which will by just two rooms and a hallway/stairs).

...time to stop procrastinating and get to work. Blergh.

Edited to add to to-do list:

* Try that DVD player in my office and see if it needs to be exchanged or just doesn't play well with the bedroom TV
* The kitchen counter isn't completely clean, I still need to put the tools out in the garage
* Mix Gatorade and refill the bottles
* Do laundry (this includes getting it all put away)
* Pack up two boxes to send off
* Wrap the Christmas presents I have

Getting new carpet was really weird! For ages we had the carpet that was already in the house, but it was old and horrible, and finally we got new carpet - all through the house - and it matched as it was really weird.

The carpeters were a bit upset to cover up our beautiful polished jarrah floors (like this (http://img.alibaba.com/photo/11336285/Jarrah_Flooring_80mm_x_19mm_Western_Australia_Australia_.jpg)) in the front of the house, though.

That? Was a crime. Wood floors are beautiful!

All the stuff upstairs matches, but it's horrid berber and it looks all grungy. I hate beige carpets, probably from living in apartments so long. I want grey carpeting.
