NO NO NO NO NO.

No.

The crawl across G4 just said that Robert Pattinson ("the flesh and blood incarnation of Sparkly Marblepeen God Edward Cullen") would be 'up for' playing The Doctor after David Tenant.

Aside from the whole marble/'up for' jokes...

Just no.

From what comments I read from him about Twilight, I actually like the guy. (Though I admit that I am in no position to judge his worthiness or lack of for a Doctor Who position.)

Oh, I adore what he's saying about Twilight, but he's WAY too young to play The Doctor. It would just be wrong, so very, very, wrong. I can't imagine the doctor appearing younger than 35, to be honest. I just don't think it would work with the character and the things he does.

Don't forget he also played Cedric Diggory! Don't judge the man on that part alone!

Though this does set a precedence for him playing characters who are not much more than pretty.

While I admit that my horror is in part because I don't want the Twitheads all up in my Dr Who, my main problem is that he's too young to be The Doctor. And, judging from the responses over at fandom lounge, that's the general opinion.

I have an idea for an icon, but I'm lazy.

Have you seen the season with Donna? I don't think the icon I made will make much sense if you haven't seen the Library eps.

Yeah - I've seen all the way through to where he loses her. That was... sad. :( I liked Donna, though I didn't think I was going to at first.

Oh, that is awesome.

...in a really frightening way.
