Ha, yeah! I thought long and hard about getting those, but in the end I couldn't reign in my duck-love. Plus, I'll give a set of the dentist ones to my dentist, they're really nice people there (despite the pain they inflict on me quite regularly).
i have a few of my own you know... of the real variety though. they are loud. very loud. and like to poop. alot. all over my lawn... but i digress.....
Just the rubber ones! In a lot of ways the pictures of yours are a lot cuter, but the reality... yeah - a lot messier! O.o (also I admit to being slightly frightened of being bitten by them in real life, I don't know why, it's not like they have teeth though they could clamp down pretty hard - I think it's because I can't read their body language the way I can cats and dogs)
you know... alot of people feel that way about birds (and reptiles for that matter...), it IS very hard to read them. but i will tell you this... most ducks are not really aggressive. the ones you feed in public parks and such CAN get very aggressive due to food issues and also with dealing with human idiots on a daily basis. but farm ducks tend to just kinda hang around and poop. oh, and are pavlovian when it comes to dinner time. ours come running from all over the place when we yell DUCKEEEEE DINERRRRRRR! too funny.
of course every once in a while there may be a renegade duck that develops an attitude... and could give chase once in a while. but i have seven ducks and every last one of them are lawn ornaments and nothing else.
now our male guinea hen however... well HE'S a different story. pure eeeeeevil that one. he stalks your legs when you are not looking. two and a half pounds of pure stupidity. dave keeps threatening to put him in the stew.
