Of Snerrflebarglast! So it was an extended intermission. *shrugs* I get distracted easi... ooooh, look at that! I'm sorry, what was I saying? Oh yes. Next round!

Can you judge a book by its cover?

It's simple - tell me what book these cropped covers are for, or make up a creative enough name to win points. If you want to work really hard at it, I'll give you the hint that these are all books Amazon recommended for me, based on books I've rated for them. Which probably means they're by an author I've rated. Don't worry, I've only done 200 or so reviews...

Book 1

Book 2

Book 3

Book 4

Book 5

Book 6

Creativity aside, the second cover looks like a Miles Vorkosigan cover... I'll have to see if I can find it later.

1. "Ernie and Bart Pray for the Mafia Bone". It's a popular Christian novel about two gangsters who spend the first half of the story finding Jesus and the second half making sure that their dead buddy (who was killed in a freak explosion in an acid factory, leaving only his femur behind) finds Him, too, post-humously.

2. "The Anachronism Show: In Defiance Of Gravity". One of a series of spin-off novels based on the hit 70s TV show of the same name. Gravity is the heartwarming tale of a Roman noblewoman who is pulled forwards in time by an ancient race known as the Grephians so that they can harness her design for a hovering transport.

3. "Kiss My Raisin". A slightly obscure short story by the long-running author Frederick Wintersauce, much loved by English teachers for his obscure and open-to-interpretation prose. After several readings and much thought, one critic described it as "certainly a book... perhaps with a dog in it".

4. "101 More Unlikely Places To Do Each Other". A how-to book.

5. "What's Wrong With This Picture?". A children's picture book inviting them to pick out the one object in each glossy full-colour photograph that appears out of place. (In the cover example, it's the hat.)

6. "Zen and the Art of Prolonged Cuddling". The debut novel from Sally Bunnyslipper, and described by reviewers as "sweet and moving and perhaps a little fluffy" and "a warm romance for all the family".

...how many did I get right? :D
