Well, it's been a crap-tastic few weeks, so your job as my friends is to cheer me up. Because, doggone it, this week is going to be better! If I have to beat it into submission...

So your task for round five is simple: reply with something funny, cute or cheerful. There's only one catch (isn't there always?): you need to be unique to get the most points! So if you and two other people post a link to a website, even if it's a great website, you'll get fewer points than the person who is the only one to post a picture, you know?

So have at it! And don't forget to play the other rounds! There's still time! Here are some handy links for you:

Round One: Lyrical Conundrum!
Round Two: Oliver!
Round Three: How Distressing!
Round Four: You're a What?!

(And you can always click on the 'snerfflebarglast' tag to see all the posts! Plus, be on the lookout for hints and clues scattered about not only the contest posts, but other posts, as well!)

"...and that is why I am not wearing pants and covered in chicken feathers," said Roy.

"And the unicorn tattoo?" asked Dionne.

"Oh. Um. I'm pretty sure that one's to do with aliens..."

WOOT! An early lead!

Question relating to this round- what is something that cheers you up, that is a bit unusual, atypical if you will, that is just a personal quirk... for example, I love the smell of moth balls, because it reminds me of days of diving into trunks and hope chests at my grandmother's house, trying on old wedding and prom dresses; or the sight of bumblebees always lifts my spirits.

In the same vein - smell - a whiff of sewer gas will always magically transport me back to childhood and visiting my Grandparents who lived just off Lake Erie. We'd walk down to the lake shore and collect shells.

...I've heard they've since cleaned up the lake a bit.

Other than that, I don't think I have any really weird quirks. I like the usual - nice spring days, fuzzy puppies, heavy metal music, good blow'em up movies...

So back in the day my Ex and I used to have this little Dwarf Hampster named Abey. She was cute and always excited to see people when they came in the room, and you knew because she'd put her little paws up on the glass of her tank and scratch at the glass to get your attention so you could pick her up. The first time I was introduced to Abey I was nervous but I still let Joey put her into my hand. Almost immediatly Abey sensed my nervousness and nibbled into my hand. I freaked out and my hand flung her up into the air and before anyone could catch her she landed with a plop on the floor. The tension was high in the air because little Abey didn't move after she was on the floor and a cold sweat started to spring on me as I thought that I had killed her. Suddenly, Abey sprung up on her legs and sniffed around, curious about her new ground surroundings. Joey quickly picked her up and cupped her next to her cheek in concern and Abey just flittered her cheek with her whiskers. She put Abey back into my hand and this time she looked right up at me with her little black tinted blue eyes with a look that was something like "I'm okay. Sorry I scared you." So I kissed her little grey/white back and ever since then she and I were the best of friends. True Story.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...

Oh, and just when do the various rounds end, anyway?

This time they're all staying open until the end, so no lead is safe - someone could swoop in at that last minute and trounce everyone! Just a little added bit of unpredictability. :D

I posted a series of private and secret posts "to" Jenn when we first got together. When I asked her to marry me Monday night we both went back and read them together.

Then we watched YouTube videos for an hour.. But that first part was pretty romantic and awesome

Ok, I had all kinds of half-baked ideas for this one, but I haven't been so cheery myself lately, so it's difficult to have much inspiration.

But I did think of something you may like:

Of course, if you don't like black olives, carrots or cream cheese, perhaps you won't be making these anytime soon, but how fun would these be to bring to a party?
