I really, really, really want these Mary-Jane style shoes. AND! They have them in a size 6EE. I'm going to order some tonight, but the question is... what color?
Black: is classic, but I have a bunch of black shoes, from flats to solid chunky pumps to spikey 4 1/2" heels.
Brown: I've been looking for a decent pair of brown shoes, though I only have one, maybe two things I can think of that I'd wear them with. Still, it opens up the possibility of buying more brown, and if I got off my butt I have fabric I can make a bunch of skirts out of that is brown-ish.
Navy: oh, how it is hard to find navy shoes! And I have a lot of blue I'd wear them with. As long as the style looks okay in that color? They're the front-runner, I think.
...and once I get them I if I really like them I may or may not go back and order the other two pairs. <.< >.>

(yes, I actually watched some NASCAR growing up because my dad would turn it on and I always rooted for the Tide car)

I know what you mean about the navy - I don't know that the color compliments the style, but, like I said, it seems the one I can most justify buying. Personally, I think the black looks best but I really don't need another pair of black shoes...

I'm digging the Mary Janes. For real.

I've never tried to make myself socks, so I have no idea what pattern would work for me! And I hate to hear you went to trouble - I can't stand it when patterns don't work out for me! But then, I have so little patience...
I think they're good-looking shoes, I only hope they're comfortable! I hate ordering out of catalogues or on line because there's no guarantee they'll fit and it takes forever...
