I really, really, really want these Mary-Jane style shoes. AND! They have them in a size 6EE. I'm going to order some tonight, but the question is... what color?

Black: is classic, but I have a bunch of black shoes, from flats to solid chunky pumps to spikey 4 1/2" heels.

Brown: I've been looking for a decent pair of brown shoes, though I only have one, maybe two things I can think of that I'd wear them with. Still, it opens up the possibility of buying more brown, and if I got off my butt I have fabric I can make a bunch of skirts out of that is brown-ish.

Navy: oh, how it is hard to find navy shoes! And I have a lot of blue I'd wear them with. As long as the style looks okay in that color? They're the front-runner, I think.

...and once I get them I if I really like them I may or may not go back and order the other two pairs. <.< >.>

Those shoes would be a lot cooler if they were Vibram FiveFingers.

I beg to differ. :P I can't imagine spending all day with stuff between my toes... eeeeeeewwww. Do they get smelly faster than other shoes? I can't imagine they wouldn't... All that toe jam mashed into the shoes!

They're washable! I'm not sure if they get smelly faster, but I can't really tell because mine smell like Tide.

Okay, you get one mark for you - Tide is the best detergent. Seriously.

(yes, I actually watched some NASCAR growing up because my dad would turn it on and I always rooted for the Tide car)

Man, it actually seems painful for you to agree with me on a subject.

Don'tcha know it! Sorry, I'm totally going to be more snarky on-line because Mr. Smeddley has the next few weeks off and if I'm nicer to him, I might get stuff around the house done! Therefore, the snark has to leak out somewhere...

Just not into your reviews!

I would think they'd stink less- the toes are separated, so no toe jam should even develop! I seriously need to try those shoes.

Ooh, adorable. I'd go with black, but they're cute in brown. I am not digging the navy, though.

[livejournal.com profile] coyotecult should take a look at these.

I did link them for her in her post - it was what led my down the path to shoe-browsing. *shakes fist* Darn her!

I know what you mean about the navy - I don't know that the color compliments the style, but, like I said, it seems the one I can most justify buying. Personally, I think the black looks best but I really don't need another pair of black shoes...

GAWD, you have a tiny foot. Which is why every effort to rework my size 9 slip-stitch sock pattern down to fit you has turned out DISASTEROUSLY (to my eyes at least) and you have received none. :-( If you have a sock pattern size that fits you that you like, email it so I can give it a go.

I'm digging the Mary Janes. For real.

Ha! Yes, I suppose I do. It's frightening that I have an easier time buying shoes with Hello Kitty on them than sensible work shoes...

I've never tried to make myself socks, so I have no idea what pattern would work for me! And I hate to hear you went to trouble - I can't stand it when patterns don't work out for me! But then, I have so little patience...

I think they're good-looking shoes, I only hope they're comfortable! I hate ordering out of catalogues or on line because there's no guarantee they'll fit and it takes forever...
