So, first and foremost I've been remiss in squee-ing over the awesome present [livejournal.com profile] auraesque sent me. She appliquéd the most adorable ferret on a book-cover, harking back to the Cassie Edwards debacle. I am not at all good at appliqué, so I am truly amazed at how very ferret-like a chunk of brown fabric and some stitches looks. Had I tried, people would probably wonder why I had something with a chunk of diarrhea stitched on it. So thank you, it's adorable. And topical! (not that I read Cassie Edwards, but I do read romance novels). +10 Snerrfle points to you for giving me something with which to remember great wank.

And to [livejournal.com profile] icecat who took it upon herself to help mediate the effects of HK-supporting trolls and doing her part for book-reviewing integrity, +10 Snerffle points. You is awesome.

To [livejournal.com profile] aeamek, no points, but I want to let you know the girl sitting next to me at the Royals game last night was wearing those god-awful glove-like shoes (for the rest of you: like these) and they're even more hideous and creepy in person. I debated taking away some of your points, but you wouldn't care, so instead I bribed and threatened several jury members in your 'trial of sexy' - I think you'll find they'll be ignoring exhibits A and B now.

My roommate (well, former roommate I guess) has a pair of those shoes! They're really cool. I never thought of them as particularly creepy. Maybe if they actually looked like bones or tendons or something...

Sweet, I get a Colbert thumbs up!

I think it's because they make your feet look more like hands and I've watched too much Kim Possible and am envisioning Monkeyfist.

Huh, I don't particularly like those toesy socks, but I think I would give those shoes a try. I'm prone to removing my shoes while hiking, but I don't know if there really could be any real substitute for being truly barefoot.

You should try them. They really do make you feel like you're walking barefoot.
