Drama on the Amazon.com front has heated up. I made a few comments yesterday and today on HK's posts (to read the most recent comments on her reviews, go here, but I claim no responsibility if your brain explodes from attempting to read her actual reviews! The comments are fun, though - I'm in there as Smeddley, natch). In the last 24 hours I chalked up 49 new negative votes - you could see it happening, them going down my list of reviews and hitting 'no' on each - the front page slowly turned to 0 out of 1 helpful, then 0 out of 2 helpful... Seriously, in all the time I've been there I have a grand total of... 334 votes, 166 helpful - so 30% (49) of my negative votes I got in a day, the other 70% (122) over...7 months.

Then some of the HK comment group were nice enough to chime in with some positives, so it's a mixed bag now, but I still feel bad about burdening my poor reviews with 'no' comments just because I was being a smart alec in some comments. Ah, well.

The funniest thing? The absolute funniest thing is that in the comments I made some remark about how it was weird you could vote 'not helpful' on someone's user pic. And guess what? 3 'not helpful' votes suddenly appeared on my user pic. I've since replaced it (once to something new, then back to the original) because it's just wrong to vote 'no' on such a cute bilby! (if you want to see it, it's on my profile, here - and far be it from me to request, you know, any positive votes from any of you, but if you feel like it...)

Oh, Friday, how full of drama you were.

Also, we bough a couch yesterday. It should arrive sometime in September.

Remind me never to trust an Amazon review again.

Tip: never believe the reviews on Amazon again.

Unless, you know, they're mine.

Honestly, though, I get a lot more out of the negative reviews than I do the positives. I like seeing what people don't like about a product the most. That, more than anything, helps me decide.

I've got about 55 'no' votes against HK so far... will work on positives for you later. :D

How is your brain not splattered all over the place?! Too much HK exposure isn't healthy, at least, not unless you slowly increase the amounts over time. ;)

Seriously, though, how frightening is it that people vote that those 'reviews' are helpful?!

Haha, it's become a rote thing by now. I quit with 100 'no' votes. Now to vote 'yes' for yours!

I'm sitting here at work killing time because I have to be somewhere at 6 but don't really have time to go home beforehand. So... amazon trolling I will go. Haha.

Wow, I'm surprised they let you get that far. I heard tell one girl did that and Amazon took away her voting privileges, but only for HK. Mostly we just ignore her now, but it does chafe that pretty much everyone knows it's a snow job and nothing can be done about it!

Ugh, staying at work? At least there's the internet to amuse you, but man, I can't wait to bolt out of there on a Friday. Whhhoooo-hooooo weekend! (I have no plans, but still)

I hope you don't get our couch dramas!

Do I want to know? I'm already worried about drama on the couch front, the salesgirl wasn't the brightest bulb and this place is not known for things running smoothly...
