So Mr. Smeddley took out chicken to thaw for dinner. I started cooking it with some garlic and onions before I thought it through - I had nothing to make sauce with. No cheese and cream for alfredo, no crushed tomatoes to make a red sauce.

So I did what any good (crazy) cook would do, and dragged half-remembered ideas fromt he back of my head and randomly dumped crap in the pan. Specifically, mandarin orange slices and vanilla yogurt. I thought it wasn't half-bad. Mr. Smeddley might think differently... but he's two floors away, so it's not like I have to watch his face as he eats... or feeds it to the dog... (but not the onions, they're not good for her!).

ALSO: RSTN? Shore Tires? I have a message for you. Seriously, I'm amazed glad you have someone still willing to sponsor you. But could you get the volume even *slightly* close? Every time a Shore Tire commercial blasts out at 10x the volume of the game I jump. And it's really, really annoying.

Hrm... it would be a pretty sweet meal. Did you cook the onions a lot before you threw in the yogurt and oranges?

Above all, was it tasty?

I did - the onions, garlic, and chicken were fully cooked before I dumped in the yogurt and oranges. I liked it, and found out Mr. Smeddley did as well, so I'd say it was a hit!

I also added a pinch of cornstarch to thicken, then served over egg noodles. Simple and good, that's what I like in a meal!
