A storm sweeping out of the Rockies and into the Plains Thursday was forecast to bring heavy rain and strong thunderstorms to the northern half of the Plains and the Midwest.

In a strongly-worded statement, the National Weather Service warned that parts of Kansas could see hail bigger than baseballs, 80-mph-plus winds and "a few strong to violent long-lived tornadoes."

Yeah, they've said it was a harsh spring and it looks to be a crap-tastic summer. Luckily this round wasn't too bad, but there was rain on... Monday? Or was it Sunday? And they're forecasting another storm on Thursday (again). I'm just ready for it to stop raining, although I'm not looking forward to the oppressive heat and humidity.

Remind me why I live here again?

Yeah, I was so paranoid, and distraught because my garage is so full of CRAP that there was no way to rearrange things to fit my car into it, that I parked it in the parking ramp at the university overnight to protect it.... but we ended up only getting rain, the hail and tornadoes completely missed us. Sounds like we're in for round two on Saturday.

Yeah, it wasn't so bad here, just a lot of rain and thunder, and we do have the cars in the garage. Still, I could do with a week without storms!
