While not quite as good as Lego Star Wars (still the best game EVER) it's quite fun. The only problem I have with it (and one of the ways it differs from LSW) is that you now have to pick things up and use them (and you can only hold one thing at a time). This isn't such a big deal in free play, where you can have enough characters to have all the tools, but in story mode it can by quite frustrating. Also, because the same button is both 'special attack' and 'pick up', you can find yourself dying because your character, in the middle of a fight, decided to pick up a hat instead of firing his bazooka.

Three stories, 6 games each. We've run through seven in story mode, then went back and re-played the first two (or was it three? I don't think we have all the chests in number 3) in free play until we had everything. It says we're about 25% done, and that's with about 8 hours of gameplay.

Tomorrow at work is going to suck. Knowing there's another 75% waiting at home. *sigh* Ah well, gotta rest up my wrist!

Cameo appearances and homages to Star Wars are awesome, too.

...think they'd believe me if I called in sick tomorrow? Eh, didn't think so. :(

Now, I must get some sleep. Got up a 5 this morning and I am sleepy. You could tell, my jumps were starting to get really sloppy. *yawn* And I have to be in good form tomorrow!

I guess Lego Star Wars would make more sense if I watched the movies or read the tl;dr before each chapter?

I don't think the reading thing would help (though I admit I've never let it play to read it!) but yeah, the game does follow the movies. :)

It was going fine until I got beyond what Darths & Droids (http://www.darthsanddroids.net/) has covered.

Are there mini-kits in it? Gold bricks? RED BRICKS?!?

I must know.

What's it worth to you? I still need your address so I can stalk you send you random postcard stories and Christmas Cards.

You know, the more you press about this issue, the more fun I have keeping it away from you.

*shrug* Your loss. :p You won't get the awesomeness that is Smeddley-by-mail.

There are the equivalent of cannisters - they're treasure chests, though. And the red bricks are parcels that you have to find and mail to yourself. There aren't gold bricks, per se, but there's something going on in the artifact (mini-kit building) room that I won't find out about until they're all done. But you have to do a bunch of things to get that set up.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. That could be cool.

You COULD threaten to withhold critiques. That might work.

....because I'm SO up-to-date on them as it is, right? OOOOH! What if I caught up, but then when I scanned them in a blurred the image - and told you to get the non-blurry image? Maybe?

(seriously, I will catch up, since work is slowing down again...)
