So I flipped on the news to see about the tornado watch (oh joy) and a story caught my attention.

Did you know that in most states, there's no law preventing your employer from requiring you to be microchipped?! MICROCHIPPED. Talk about 'big brother is watching'.

Boss: I noticed you spent just over three minutes in the bathroom last time you went.
Peon: Uh... I had to take a crap. That takes time.
Boss: Statistics show that should take only 2 minutes, 27 seconds on the outside.
Peon: Are you kidding me?
Boss: I also noticed you went to the bathroom six times yesterday.
Peon: And...?
Boss: The average is 4. And since you're not only taking longer bathroom breaks, but more of them, I'm going to have to ask you to work the Saturday to pay back the time you've stolen from the company.
Peon: I have plans for Saturday.
Boss: Yes, about what you've been doing on the weekend...

This is the only story I could find on it on the web

Enjoy!

I'm sorry... I didn't even read your post because my pavlov senses went off with your title and I immediately started singing "I like big butts".

What weirds me out is the fact that this implies employers have, in the past, required their workers to be microchipped. o___o

And I guess in the case of mine workers I could see a system like this, to locate trapped workers - but they could just wear it strapped to their wrist, no need to permanently implant them!

Though I did once say it'd be easier if I could get my library card number barcode tattooed on my hand, since I can never find my card and use the library all the time (I always have to recite the number for them, which of course I have memorized!).
