So it's not perfect. But if you saw the previous picture you know it's quite an improvement, if not perfect (I know, I have too much stuff - as will be evident shortly)

So if you turn left when you enter the room you get this:

Until just now this held the old computer - the one I just sold (yay). Hence the kinda odd arrangement of stuff on it. It made sense before. The plastic container on it is the vestiges of my cleaning effort. You know that one box of crap you just can't seem to put away anywhere? That's it. And I can't use a drawer because they're all full. Bottom 2 on the left are full of photos, upper left has clipart books and disks, the middle drawer is full of all sorts of crap, the upper right has cards I've earmarked for things, the middle right is DUCKIES! and toys, the bottom right is completely full of greeting cards.

Underneath is my yoga ball I need to inflate now that I have floorspace.

Moving further left...

My main desk, almost completely clean! I know, it's those few things that open the door for more crap to accumulate, but still. I really need to sew a new cushion for my chair - it's very 80s, but oh so comfy!

And on the TV we have the Royals trying to lose their 11th. And on the desk are our season tickets. Grrrrr.

Looking right from the door...

The closet of DOOM! Okay, eventually I want to set it up to be a gift-wrapping closet, but that requires shelving and stuff. And I'm not up for that right now. So on the upper shelf are empty boxes and tissue paper and gift bags. The moving box is full of crap I want to get rid of. The pink boxes are full of generic, last-minute gifts. The rubbermaid container has stuffed animals in it (yes I know I have a problem - shuddup)

There you have it, my office! Now if I can only get my craft room back to the pretty, gleaming days (the last time I posted pictures of it, in fact). Next vacation. *nods*

Is having that many stuffed animals on display healthy for your marriage?

My husband gets mad if I put one on the bed..."says it's our room!"

On a side note, I looooooove the color!

We both like them, so it's all good. Most of them are of more unusual animals - like the cuttlefish - so it's not like they're all teddy bears or anything. We have another bunch in the bedroom... and the spare room... and the living room...

Several of the Giant Microbes and the Autobahn birds are his, anyway. :)

Thank you, I love it - not many other people do, saying it's too dark!

Ahhh, I see.
I have a MASSIVE animal collection of ugly ones...I feel so bad seeing them on the shelf knowing that no one is going to pick them, so I bring them home. ::Laughs::

I know how you feel! And once I 'bond' with one in a store, I just can't leave it.

Toy stores should be added to the list of places I'm not allowed (after craft stores and book stores...)

Good job on the cleanup!!

My dogs request you send over those shelves full of squishable chew toys. *nods*

Surprisingly, Shadow knows the difference between our stuffed animals and her toys. The only time she's ever grabbed one was the first week we had her - now, if a stuffed animal is sitting right next to her toy, she will go for the toy every time.

(Sir Loin is still traumatized by the time she tried to carry him off by his nose, though)

And mum thinks I have a lot of stuffed animals.

Yeah, sometimes I think it's gotten a little out of hand, and then I figure, what the hell, it's my house and I'll fill it with whatever I want!

And in the event of a major earthquake, at least I'll have a bunch of soft, squishy things flying around!
