Ergh, I hate Mondays. I don't wanna be at work, and if I have to be at work, can things at least work out? Is it too much to ask? And why isn't my desk clean? Didn't I spend all last week getting stuff in order? So why does my office still look like a filing cabinet exploded?
And I gave blood at lunch, so the universe has to be nice to me. :p
Five postcards bearing chicken scratch went out today. Are you one of the lucky recipients? Only time (in some cases, quite a bit of time) will tell. I have several more printed, I'm just awaiting inspiration.
I'm supposed to go to a blogger book club meeting tomorrow but I haven't finished the book. And it's allllll the way downtown. Blergh. At least, so far, the book isn't as bad as I thought it would be. But I'm only... 80 pages in? If that.
Nothing fascinating going on today. I is wearing my new sparklies today, though. I feel purdy. Probably shouldn't have spent the money, but... it was going to be $100 just to size my old ring. So why not take advantage of the trade-up program and spend... 8 times as much? (though I split it between a new ring and a new necklace, that was cool) Yeah. But for someone who started off her marriage with a $35 gold band, I'm moving up in the world! Short of winning the lottery, though, I think I'm going to have this one for awhile, since each trade-up requires a doubling of the amount. O.O
(How the hell do people - or do people - actually spend two month's salary on a ring?!)
