What are three things not discussed in this post?

Good news is that the outdoor tornado siren is really, really, really loud. As in, even if I was asleep with all the windows closed, I think I'd notice. Bad news is that the weather last night was awful. And despite trying to get to sleep in the lull between the storms (10-1) I feel groggy and sleepy. The wind kicked up about 1:30 am, and it was impressive. There are shingles in our yard. But I don't think they're ours. The garbage can sure isn't.

My friend, who I haven't seen in years and years, is getting married in June. She wants me there, I just don't know if I can afford to go. And I really don't want to fly. :/ I'll just have to see.

I was doing the 'how much I owe' calculations, and despite paying huge sums of money to various places over the last three years, I still owe more than I'd like. I should be able to get it paid off in two years, which both seems a good thing, and at the same time, depressing. Two whole years. Ugh. And that's only if we can afford to keep paying what I'm paying now. We'll see. I could, theoretically, get another job, but I'd rather not spend time away from my house and the puppy. I like both of those more than I dislike being in debt.

I have tons and tons of work to get done today. Hopefully tonight I'll finally get around to doing those crits I've promised people. Hubby's getting a new game, so I probably won't get sucked into Lego Star Wars, at least. And I'll have a new antivirus program on my computer, so I should be able to turn it on without worrying.

I doubt this'll post, anyway. :( E-mail posts have been hit and miss.

Is there an indoor tornado siren?

What is this new game you speak of?

Well, you can have a weather radio, and places like schools have indoor sirens. But, yeah. Smart ass.

Um... some WWII flying thing. Blazing Angels? I can't remember.

LOL and applause at the garbage can comment. I saw the news about the bad weather there and was momentarily concerned until I saw the crawler that read no injuries or damage reported.

I had high winds a few nights ago and watched with dread as the anchor dragged about 50-ft. Fortunately the nearest other vessel was 100-ft away.

Good luck on the 2-yr plan.

Evidently, according to our neighbors, there was a small tornado that hopscotched a block away. There's a lot of damage two streets over, one tree fell on a house, a lot of downed limbs and fences. Evidently we lost part of our fence, but since it belonged to the neighbors they fixed it (he'd tied it up and propped it in place before I got up on Friday). But, thankfully, nothing serious.

Yeah, we just bought a new stove, so we'll see how the two-year plan goes...

Hey, as long as you're critiquing stuff, you should come read my recently posted chapter and tell me what you think! You know you wanna...

;)

I feel like I will always owe far more money than I would like to. Debt is an evil, evil, spiralling thing.

I do wanna, and I will, it may just take me awhile (ask anyone, I may be slow, but I really do get around to it eventually!).

Debt is evil, but buying stuff is so much fun!
