It's rapidly approaching lunchtime. I have a few choices, some good, some bad.

I could go shopping someplace I don't need to and buy things I shouldn't (bookstore, craft store, things like that). I could go to the grocery store to buy some food, including the rice I need to make the other rice pudding recipe I wanted to try. I could walk on the treadmill downstairs (I really should do that). I could walk to the grocery store (even better exercise, since it's uneven ground, the weight of the groceries on the return trip, and battling wind gusts). I could sit here and stare out my window. I could take a nap in the workout room (there's a mat, it works in a pinch). I could go to the library and read. I could run out and buy an Xbox 360. I could walk around the shopping center across the way and window shop. I could write something. I could actually stay here and do work. I could invite a co-worker out to lunch.

Decisions, decisions.

The only thing on the 360 I care about is Hexic.

And I am not paying hundreds of dollars to play Hexic when I can just pop over to a friend's house and play Hexic.

Don't forget Hexic 2, and Pac-Man Championship Edition, and Puzzle Quest, and Lumines, and about a jillion other Arcade games.

THERE IS A HEXIC 2?!

WHY HAS MY FRIEND NOT DOWNLOADED IT.

(...because I would play it, I guess.)

I vote for window shopping. Oh, and I have more library suggestions... I'll get on that in case you go to the library!

I can go to the library any time, since (for now) it's so close!

I didn't see your post actually pertaining to duckies until just now... but they arrived! and in one piece. Well, ok, 4 pieces. But anyway, they are now rocking out in a little parade around my bathtub.

Yay duckies! :D

Carcassone is awesome!

Then why can't I ever find people online to play with?! That, and Settlers of Catan are devoid of life
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 06:23 pm (UTC)
Dunno, especially since the game was free a few months back (after I bought it, of course).
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 06:29 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I missed out because it was before I got my 360. I did picked up the other freebie though after getting screwed over xmas when I wanted to play games.

I've only ever played table-top Settlers - is it much different when it's online?

Grilled Cheese sandwiche with Craft slices and sourdough bread. I win.

Yeah, I actually ate leftover noodles, cottage cheese, and pineapple.

Your life is a Choose Your Own Adventure novel.

Sadly, I chose the grocery store option and was suddenly, unexpectedly eaten by an ogre. I *always* pick the wrong option. *sigh*

So sad. Had you chosen to get the Xbox 360, you would've discovered the lost treasure of the pharaoh's tomb.

Dammit!

A dimensional portal opens up and you fall through into the mysteries of space and time. Return to page 64.
Thursday, April 17th, 2008 02:33 am (UTC)
But... but... page 64 re-directs me to the dimensional portal! It's an infinite loop! NOOOOOOO!

What did you end up doing?

:-)

I was obnoxiously good and walked to the grocery store. When I got back and set the bag down and felt light... and realized that wasn't even half the extra weight I'm carrying... it motivated me for a moment. Sadly, the motivation didn't stick and I had ice cream for dinner. :( But tomorrow is another day!
