Another meme I owe! [livejournal.com profile] lyonza picked five icons for me to explain...

This was a much larger banner I saw - probably through the recent LJ feed - and liked. It's the equivalent of a 'brain bleach' icon. Thankfully, my friends don't usually subject me to anything too awful!

The penguins were the only bright spot og Madegascar. And while I'm not at all evil genius (okay, evil, but no genius) it still seems appropriate now and then. And penguins! How can you go wrong with penguins?!

This one would make more sense if I still wrote much... But really, what writer hasn't felt like it would be easier to off someone than squeeze out another word? Especially that really, really, really annoying coworker...

Bunny! I found this icon from iconscraper and thought it was cute. It's a bunny! On its head!

I drew this. It is pretty much the limit of my artistic ability. Oh, yeah, I'm proud.

If you want me to pick five of your icons, leave a comment!

Do I even have five icons that you haven't made?

You do, but the only two I'd wonder about are these:

...the rest are pretty self-explanatory!

Re: 1: Homg, the Bunny Suicides. It is horribly hypocritical of me to find those books as funny as I do. xD

Re: 5: Your puffball is adorable.

...all right, so hardly a day goes by when someone isn't doing this meme. I surrender. Hit me. :P

Re: 1: no, it's not, and damn, now I need to buy more books (I didn't realize there were books!)

Re: 5: Thank you!

I know, you can't escape it! So explain these, missy!

Do it! There are two, and they are hilarious. xD

--ooh ooh and, there's a book called something like "Lies to Tell Small Children" by the same people, which is brilliance on a stick.

Voila! (http://cazrolime.livejournal.com/83148.html)

The cheese grater one sums up perfectly how I feel having read some of American Psycho, I quite resent the person who lent it to me. I seriously want those scenes out of my head. I don't understand how it was made into a movie. And why anyone would want to see it. Seriously, if I had any authority whatsoever, I'd have the author locked up. I don't believe for a second that someone even with an extremely vivid imagination that isn't a sociopath could have written those scenes.

I love the last one, you should be proud! None of my doodles ever come out that good.

I've never read it, don't feel the need to, now!

I drew him long ago, he was exercise 1 in a book on learning how to draw. I'm... up to exercise 2, now...

...I was actually quite tempted to buy that book, though knowing nothing of it except what it said on the blurb. Is it really that bad? xD

Yes. YES. yes!

I'm not usually one to be squeamish, and I love psychological thrillers, and I've read some really twisted stuff in my time, but this crossed all kinds of lines that made me truly creeped out. For example, I *loved* the book Hannibal (and love all the corresponding movies as well), but American Psycho was far more creepy, grotesque, violent, and just so fundamentally wrong and sickening.

Was it anything like the Dexter books, if you've read them? 'Cause I keep meaning to, but I've never read/seen the Hannibal stuff. And the second book had a villain who was freaky and wrong as all hell. O_o

I've watched all the Dexter episodes, and my son just read the first book... I've been meaning to, but haven't yet.

Does the second book correspond with the second season of Dexter? I'm guessing not?

Nope, and I can't blame them for not trying to film it. >_> Though I won't describe it if you're planning on reading it.
