I've never really gotten in to New Year's Eve/Day celebrations. I know for some people they are a huge deal, but I... just don't care. The biggest impact is has is that I have to concentrate to write the right date on my checks (which, since I only write two a month, is rare enough that I'll be screwing it up until June).

It does mean the rollover of my 50/50 list, though! I made it to 50% last year, but just. And I may have been fudging some numbers... well, not really fudging. I didn't define, clearly enough, what counted in a few categories, so maybe it was cheating. But I did well over 50 items in a lot of the categories (whooo! I hit 100+ crafts! -some are not on that list, I didn't get pictures or forgot, but I did make a solid 100, even counting some things as one (seriously, I counted both rainbow skirts as ONE project! O.o))

Things I got to 100% on:

1. Think of 50 lists of 50 things
4. Craft Projects Completed
7. Miles Walked (too easy, we walk 100+ miles/year just in walking the dog!)
8. Scrapbook pages
18. Dozen Cranes (easily, that's only 600!)
20. Questions Blogged (oh how I hated this)
22. Letters/postcards/cards (too easy, I counted Christmas, which was over 50 in itself!)
27. New words learned (thank you, Words with Friends!)
28. Doodles (about ten times over!)
29. Movies watched
32. Cranes left in the wild (fortune cranes!)
35. Winning games of spider solitaire (oh, you bet that one is on there again, so easy!)
42. Levels of Bubble Blast II (again, easy - that game is addictive!)
48. Seconds balancing on one foot, eyes closed (sounds simple... it's not)

Things I completely failed at (not one check mark!)

3. Skeins of yarn stash reduced (yeah, I used a ton of yarn, and still ended up 35 skeins up!)
6. Days of WiiFit (eh...)
10. Hours of sword practice (I could cheat and count the practice I did with the candy cane...)
11. Hours of poi practice
15. Miles swum (didn't get into the pool once...)
40. Things recycled/reused oddly
49. Centimeters lost (but hey, none gained, either)

I still need to think of a few things for next year's list, but overall I'm pretty happy with the result this year. It's nice to have some motivation, even if it is on silly things. Next year I need to better define some things like "items donated to charity", because should I count the $1 donation I make every time I go to PetSmart/Petco? (I didn't, but I did individually count the dog toys I donated, so...) Also "Pieces of clutter removed", because, heck, throwing away a bead could technically count? (No, I didn't do that... I wouldn't throw away a bead! Unless it was broken... and, actually, I did toss several when I organized my beads!)

I also have a movie I want to watch, but I want to save it for the "new year" so it'll count on that list... does it count if I start it at 10:30 and finish watching just after 12? ;)
