Ah, back to work, yay! I really wish I could sleep for another 10 hours or so, but it is not to be. I'll just have to zombie through work, and class tonight.
This weekend was fun, if a bit too packed. Relay for Life performance on Friday night, which went well. I was worried because I gave blood earlier in the day, and it was an outside dance, and it was hot and humid, but I was fine. Our troupe leader was apparently not as lucky, and we need to keep an eye on her in the future!
We went to a Big Band 1940s dance in an airplane hanger (complete with antique airplanes) on Saturday night, which was a lot of fun. And there was a nice breeze that kept it from being unbearably hot.
Yesterday was even a little productive!
Now, on the whiny side:
* I don't know if I mentioned it here, but my odometer stopped working on my car. Pretty much makes it worthless, and it's more annoying than I thought.
* My leg/back still hurts, I don't think the injections did anything.
* I spent yesterday finishing my items for the Three Tiny Movie Things swap, and was ready to send, only to realize my partner lives in Canada and the USPS stopped even accepting packages to Canada on Saturday. Wheeee!
* Speaking of swaps, still no word on the One Tiny Stuffie Round 5 swap - haven't heard from my partner, and the organizer hasn't seemed to have done anything, at least not anything communicated to me. Blergh.
In other news:
I've started watching Supernatural on DVD from the library. Some of my f-list has been very vocal about how it gets pretty sexist and 'ugh' in later seasons, some of my f-list loves the show. I am on the fence.
Sam can be whiny and annoying (yes, I know, who am I to talk) and Dean is taking the macho tough guy act a little too far (which can also be annoying). The individual cases are kinda interesting, especially when they tie in urban legends. The soundtrack is fabulous. Very much my kind of music!
So, part-way into season 2 and I'm 'eh' on it. I don't know that I would watch it on TV, but on DVD it's interesting enough.
I also have Sherlock season 1 to watch.
AND! I made some clay things for a project, I need to bake them (I need to clean my oven first, but the self-clean cycle takes awhile) and see if it turns out like it did in my head...
