...but no time right now, so just highlights:
* Work is finally slowing down, and I'm less stressed about the work - but more stressed about keeping my job as there is less to do.
* There is a video of me belly dancing. In front of an audience. I think this might be one of the signs of the apocalypse. You've been warned.
* The Fig Eater is the first book our book club unanimously agreed is awful.
* In contrast, the Georgia Nicolson series I read (YA) was wonderful and I'm really bummed there are only 10 books in the series. I want more. Also good in YA: 13 Reasons Why (though depressing, it is thought-provoking), Carter Finally Gets It (just fun), and Wintergirls (depressing but interesting). Less good in YA was: Fairy Tale (I wanted to like it, but it lacked something), I'm a Genius of Unspeakable Evil and I want to be Your Class President (a little young even for me, and way out there), and Liar (just... weird).
* The Gallery of Regrettable Food and Gastroanomolies are two fun reads, though nothing deep or meaningful. Aspics are frightening and I hope they never make a comeback.
* I was all set to pick up the new Joanne Fluke book (Cottage Cheese Cookies!) but someone had torn some of the recipes out of the library book. People are scum. Why couldn't they just have, oh, copied them by hand, or scanned them, or have taken a bloody picture... why ruin the book?!
* I've temporarily taken over
tickybox over at Dreamwidth, it's a fun community and you should join it and answer my polls. Also, there will be a Poll-Your-Own-Adventure starting soon. I have invite codes if people need them.
Off to watch Castle and go to bed. I promise to try to catch up on my commenting (I do still promise I'm reading everything, it's just a bit of a pain to comment on my phone, which is where I read mostly... you know, at lunch and on breaks...).
