So last night I finally sewed the sofa parasites for the couch downstairs. They're not perfect - I used a fuzzy fabric that was extremely stretchy, and it was a nightmare. But they have zippers so I can take off the covers and wash them, and they look better than having the bed pillows with pillowcases on them down there.
I also finally took in the waistband of a skirt I bought a long time ago so I can now wear it (am today, in fact). Mending item one of about a dozen done.
The day before yesterday I sewed the seam on a sheet that had come undone (and was catching and pulling on our feet) and frankly, the part I sewed looks better than the original seam!
It feels weird being this productive, but it's a good weird. If I can just keep it up and finish off a handful of things every week, that would be awesome. I realize some things, like some of my knitting projects, will take a long time, but that's why I have so many other, smaller projects I can work on. Right?
On tap for an accomplishment today is cooking dinner. We've been going out to eat way too much. :/
