'The Tetris Afghan was going to use up scrap yarn' my hind end. I should have known there was no way I could work on something I didn't think was perfect, and those colors just weren't floating my boat. So, $15 (plus tax) later, I have colors I think I can work with. This means the ONLY yarn I had for it (I bought 4 skeins of black awhile back on sale for $1 each) was the red I'd bought for my Santa-pode. Yesterday I bought yellow, and today I bought orange, pink, electric blue, bright blue-ish green, and lime green. So seven colors, plus black, just like on my pattern. And, this means starting over! Yay! (not like I had a whole lot done, anyway). I don't even want to do a 'how I'm doing whittling down my yarn stash' tally right now. I did pick up some free pattern sheets for granny squares while I was at the store - yes, it might come down to a granny square afghan. Seriously. That, or lots and lots of brightly colored octopodes.
Also, on the internet front, it seems that last bit was a glitch, and we're back to the status quo of partial blockage. Not ideal, but livable. Also on the internet front, I'm not up to under 23,000 on the Amazon rankings. How, I have no idea. They're still a mystery to me. It's weird that I make huge jumps up, but only ever edge down. Go figure.
There was more I was going to say, but my head is like cottage cheese today. Too much information has been crammed into it over the last week.
Hope y'all are having a skippy week. Carry on.
