I was going to share with you some pictures I'd taken this week (
anam_cara_ was going a daily picture thing (4-8), but I wasn't that good - I had maybe a half-dozen for the whole week.). But when I put my memory card into the slot, it told me there was an error and it couldn't read it. The camera said the same thing when I tried to put it back in there. So, a re-format it is, and all pictures lost.
They were nothing special, some post-its on the coffee beans at work declaring 'no french roast!', the picture of my yummy ice-cream concoction we got when we couldn't buy a Wii (and a WiiFit), and some other things. Most I could, if I wanted, reproduce (except the coffee bean thing, they're gone). But that's not really the point. The point is that it shouldn't have done it. And it's a crap-tastic way to start the day.
Oh, I take that back - it wasn't the first crappy thing. The first crappy thing was realizing that the plants I just re-potted (and had left outside for some fresh air and sunlight!) are not doing so well. Various stages of not well, but the worst off is the only one I care about (the others were grown from clippings, so it's no big deal). And it was the one that's been outside all along! It's an awesome little Bonsai tree, courtesy of the bunnies at our old townhouse. I'd planted one of those stick trees you get free at events and they just kept nibbling it down, but it kept coming back - and turned into a mini-tree, complete with mini-leaves. And now it seems to be dead. Phooey. And I replanted it because I thought the pot it was in was too small, and I was only trying to be nice... :(
I was going to bake some cookies today, I'm not sure that's such a good idea, now. Maybe just staying in bed all day... Except I really do need to go to the grocery store. :/
Where's the do-over button?
Edit: The world really is out to get me today. I decided I could at least do laundry, because I hate it anyway and why not do it on a crappy day, and... I'm out of fabric softener. This is the universe's way of telling me just to do nothing today, right?
