We went out to run some errands and there was a car in front of us with a personalized plate. I could make neither heads nor tales of it (it read MIRMIKE) and have no idea what it meant. So I said, what's the point of having a personalized license plate that no one gets? But of course, if I'd had that car my license plate would have read HG, and very few people would get that!

(And you're totally a geek like me and win 1,000,000 cool points if you can tell me what kind of car it was...)

ALSO! Since [livejournal.com profile] rantipole6 drove me crazy with this all day, I pass it along to you. Check out THIS and find out if you're right-brained or left-brained, and can you make her flip directions?!

Mercury?

Yup - I knew you'd know it! Now I want one just to get that license plate... :/

Not an earthly clue.

Of course, my brain is sore, so I'm not really up to par. I get the feeling like maybe I should know.

As the others before guessed, it was a Mercury - the chemical symbol for which is HG! :D

We all have 'dain bread' days, I feel you on the injured noggin. Give it a rest, watch some crap-tacular TV for awhile... :D

I am right-brained and cannot get her to change at all. And why is she naked?!

Because the 'test' was created by men? ;) It took me a long time to get her to switch. I didn't even think it was possible at first, but I finally, finally got it by staring for a very long time at her bottom foot. And then it just finally 'flipped'.

Someone in my behavioral psychology class sent out this link and I stared at it for hours. Supposedly I'm right-brained, even though I'm right-handed. Eventually I got pretty good at reversing her motion back and forth.

Almost everyone I know saw her as turning clockwise at first. So I have to wonder about it. Because I'm very logic, math, and science oriented. But then, I also have a well (over) developed sense of imagination, so... I dunno. But I wasn't going to stop until I could see it both ways!

I'm definitely right-brained, and she was going clockwise at first... but then she switched direction. And every time I laughed and refocused my eyes, she switched again. And again.

I iz weird. :D

You're just well-balanced! :D

Ha! I totally in a million years could never have guessed what kind of car it was.

I'm not a geek.

Just a really big dork.

Well, it's a geek/dork/nerd club! You're more than welcome. :)
