Mmmmm, cake! I wonder if they would notice if I just.... *nibble*

Cautiously, the new pair of shoes approaches the herd. Showing deference is one way to insure acceptance...

Me likey the shoes!!!!!

Wal-Mart's finest! I'm going back and forth on them, I like them, but I think they'd be better without the platform-ness. But then, that's what makes them different from my other shoes, so.... :/

Nono, the platform is hip. I'd love to find a shoe like that, but also with an ankle strap. I sooo want to find a pair of 40's-era (slight platform) pumps with an ankle strap. :)

Haha. I love how your dog is like "screw the not getting caught part! I WANTS CAKE!!!!"

I would probably be much more into shoes if it wasn't for the fact that... well, my feet are friggin' huge, man. There are no shoes out there that will both fit me and not look like I cut a hole in an orange crate to stick my foot in. So I stay with sneakers and workboots because I can fake those.

To be fair, it was her cake (it was her birthday). ;)

I have wide but small feet. So even if a store sells wide shoes, they usually only sell a 7W, and I need a 6W. My feet are almost as wide as they are long!

Awww happy birthday Shadow! I remember you mentioning that :D Tia will be two in a couple of months.

Shoes!

She's a young'en! :) Shadow is 9. She's getting to be an old dog, with only occasional bursts of puppy-like energy. I don't miss the terrible 2s, though!

I feel like such a girl, but, yeah. Shoes. *grin*

She's remarkably well-trained. You'd probably be surprised. My mum is very strict about it, but Tia is smart and adores her.

She's actually uncannily smart at times. <3

I like shoes, but hard to find my size in what I like. I hunted a pair of sandals all summer and never did find it in the right colour and my size.

It's not misbehaving - Shadow was pretty good, only chewed up a few things, nothing important. It was the energy. You had to play, play, play, play, PLAY NOW! all day long. Now she occasionally lets us rest...

Dogs are a billion times smarter than most people give them credit for. That dog plays us all the time.

Shoes are really hard for me, too, because my feet are short and wide. :( I feel your pain. I can find lots of Hello Kitty sandals that fit in the kids section... O.o

True! Tia is especially energetic and if she doesn't get her outside time, it can get a little rough. Especially after mum buggered her knee so completley. But they manage now, and Tia has done well. I bet they'll be glad when she loses that puppy edge though.

Tia has her own sense of humour, I swear, and thinks she's a little kid. And she even makes her own little games occasionally.

Nodnod. Your feet aren't that much bigger than mine, I think. And i can do that too ... but they don't have the stylish edge I might want.

Hello Kitty. Giggles.

Thanks! :D

Neat shoes! I love open toes.

What kind of cake was that?
Thursday, February 28th, 2008 12:04 am (UTC)
Except in the winter, it's a bit chilly.

Just a white cake with vanilla frosting. I cut it into a square because the edge of the round cake got a bit well-done in the back. Guess I should use the 'convect' feature on my oven.
