So. Computer being a pain in the butt led to a semi-productive evening. Hubby was at school, so I cranked up my CDs and got some work done between bouts of jerky, uncoordinated dancing that probably more resembled me being electrocuted than anything with, you know, rhythm (and I really need to learn to spell that word without Google's help, but in my defense it's a stupidly spelled word). But it was fun, and between that and shoveling the driveway this morning I think I got my workout in. Plus I did dishes, made some coconut rice pudding, and did laundry (though I still have to put that away, but I can do it while watching my DVR-ed Mythbusters, Smash Lab, and something really cool on the Military Channel called Top Sniper - I caught the tail end and had it record the second showing). If I can stay away long enough to fold Mt. Saint Laundry, that is...

Also, I actually got Spam so there will be spam art for theartofspam. Yay! It's only one message, but I have a great idea for it.

I backed up all of my data files on my external hard drive. I'll lose my saved game files, but I'll live. And I swear (yeah, really) that when I put all that crap on my new computer I will actually organize it. No! I mean it!

$10 or a dozen duckies to anyone who can find my Shrek CD, btw. Oh, and $100 if you can find the checkbook that's been missing for 2-1/2 years...

I need to buy an external hard drive and back up all my music and stuff. I'd die if I lost it and my writing.

Back up your writing anyway, on a USB pen or disk or anything. (I'm going through computer death right now, and though I'll be pissed off if I've lost my 25GB of music, I at least have all my writing backed up.)

I would, if I were you. Or, if you don't have all that much (if it's just writing it doesn't take up much room!) you can get an 8 meg flash drive from Microcenter for $30 (far, far less than a hard drive!).

I really hope I take this opportunity to organize my files! of course, the computer has been behaving awfully nicely recently... I think it knows something's up!

I think I've cleaned the front window (the one with the most puppy snot) once in 2-1/2 years. The rest, not so much. I have curtains, so I rarely see them! And, you know, I'm lazy...

I checked my Hotmail for the first time in ages and the spam there was RIPE for the pickin. Good thing, too, because my Gmail spam was dwindling.
