A pox on both the houses of [livejournal.com profile] cdpeck and [livejournal.com profile] aeamek. I'm deeply hurt by their sly mockery in the last post, because of the deep childhood scars of taunting and that particular name-calling associated with my *shudder* childhood nick-name.

A POX ON YOU, I SAY! :P

In other news, I got cards from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] alankria and the fluffy [livejournal.com profile] tarpo! The one from [livejournal.com profile] alankria is possibly the cutest itty-bitty (and I do mean *tiny*) piece of mail I've ever received. Thanks to both of you! :D I feel speckled.

Also, I found out on my last trip to the post office that you're supposed to add an extra 17 cents to letters that aren't completely flat. Some of you have a little thingee in yours, and I apologize if it gets stuck in the sorter and they come postage due. I'll let you know if they come back to me, but everyone that requested one should be getting one. Let me know when you do, okay?

One more trip to the post office is on tap for tomorrow, then... wrapping. And maybe setting up the tree...

EDIT: AH! I also got a card from the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] gelsey (yesterday). Thanks to you, too! :D

This brings my total up to 5, which is more cards than I ever get from all of my relatives... way to go, LJ peeps! :D

Add 17 cents? Huh. I've never heard that before, but it's good to know.

I actually did add extra postage to your book thong one, but that was *really* bulky. These weren't that bulky and I didn't think anything of it, but the post office guy mentioned it and said they *might* get caught.

Oh! And yes, they do sell 17 cent stamps expressly for that purpose.

AND OH OH! I added you, I got your card yesterday... :D

Hmmm. Definitely good for me to know.

Oh good! I worry about the TN mail sometimes, srsly...

Now wouldn't you feel bad if my family came down with a pox right before Christmas?
Thursday, December 20th, 2007 01:30 am (UTC)
Um... maybe. Chicken? Not so much. Small? I think we'd have bigger problems in the world than my cursing your family, but I'd feel a little bad.

...and if it were the traditional 'pox' of old I take NO responsibility. That's between you and your fairy.

Tina just passed out and Gabriel just coughed up a lung, but I'm feeling fine so no worries!

We know it's all about you, anyway. ;)

Oh, this reminds me... are you done editing your CYOA story? I was going to mention it to the few people I know, but wanted to give you a chance to do your revisions first.

Pretty much. I think there might still be a few things wrong, but all in all I think it's pretty darn cleaned up. And I'm pretty sure all the links are working and I fixed some of the continuity problems.

That much fun, was it? :D I so want to do it again, but... maybe with a plan beforehand and a little more time!

I think you did a phenomenal job, especially given the amount of time you did it in. The only thing I was somewhat disappointed in was that there didn't seem to be one "correct" path that led to a happy ending, but you made up for that with all those imaginative death scenes. :-)

One day, you're going to spell my name right, and I hope I'm there when it happens.
Thursday, December 20th, 2007 02:42 pm (UTC)
*sigh*

Well, if you'd changed your name to something, oh, I don't know... PRONOUNCABLE and easy-to-remember I wouldn't have this problem. Seriously. I could spell 'remockable' right EVERY DAMN TIME.

Six letters.

SIX.

Just sayin.
Thursday, December 20th, 2007 04:03 pm (UTC)
Six nonsensical letters! How would you feel if my username was uohgiu? Do you think you'd never screw that up?! :P Usually I do go through the trouble of looking at my userinfo page to make sure I get it right, but I was so devistated by the mockage I didn't have the energy *THEATRICAL SIGH*

You have another card coming, but I procrastinate in EVERY part of my life (like right now, I REALLY should be studying for my Social Psychology final), so hopefully you'll get it before the 25th, but I can't guarantee it. Besides, if it ends up being a little belated, it's like my little way of extending the holiday for you!
Friday, December 21st, 2007 03:51 am (UTC)
Oh, I totally understand procrastination. I still don't have my tree up! And, yeah, anything that prolongs the season is good in my books!

I think we should have a holiday from Christmas to New Year's. I mean, who really does any work even if they show up to the office?
