(I don't mean to bring anyone down, really, I was just letting it out and now I'm moving on to the exciting news of the day!)
...one of my presents is a trip to JoAnn! No need to smuggle yarn into the house today! ;) They're having a big sale and hubby has even volunteered to go with me. I'm still not sure if this is a good idea or not, but we'll see. He's never been with me on a 'browsing' trip, just quick, surgical strikes.
There are a few things I need. One, another skein of yarn if I'm going to finish the Josephine Scarf I'm working on.

It's a little over half-done, I think.

Close-up of the stitches.
Then there's fabric for the skirt I'm re-working for a friend. She thinks I'm just adding another row of ruffling to make it long enough, but one of the rows the fabric really, really, really DOES NOT GO. She agrees that it doesn't, and doesn't particularly like it, but doesn't want me to go to any trouble. Which it's not, because I actually enjoy fixing/reworking things more than I like making them from scratch. But I have to first finish pulling out... oh my god... 34 feet of ruffles?! That can't be right... But probably is, it's a circle skirt. Ah, well. I won't have that done by Monday, but maybe by Thursday. I don't think she's in a huge hurry for it back, thankfully!

That floral print just does. not. go. I like the fuchsia, and I was thinking a bright yellow would be good, but I'm stuck on a third color. Also, I was going to work it differently. Instead of three ruffles building on each other, I was going to make all three ruffles different lengths, and attach them to the teal skirt all in the same place. I think that will look good, But I'm not sure.
And then... then there's just anything else that catches my fancy! Because I need more projects. *nods* There are a few crafts I've thought about taking up... ;)
