Facebook is dead to me. Except the games.

I can't get anything to work since their last great 'update' that simplified things. Posts won't show up - everything from it telling me there are no posts to display to a mish-mash of posts over the last week (yes, that is with the 'most recent' option checked, for all the good that does).

Besides, it really sucks for blogging, and for mini-updates there's Twitter.

So, I need to get back into the swing of this whole blog thing. I miss it in some ways, I think it kept me doing stuff. Writing, crafting, all that. I guess I haven't updated much since I haven't really done much lately, and that's kind of depressing. So! Time to get my butt in gear so I have something to blog about.

And even though I haven't said much recently, I have been reading. Every single post, I promise!

Isn't it weird how 'updates' and 'improvements' so often don't?

Sad, but true.

I think the problem is people (mostly software/internet people) update/'improve' just for the sake of changing something. The whole 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality is lost on them.

Look at Solitaire. On computers since... forever, nearly. Hasn't changed. Still played. Nothing wrong with it. Lesson... completely lost on people.

I know the feeling... I've gotten into Mafia Wars and Farmville and I can't see any of the posts concerning those. Let alone I have to refresh the page 5-10 times to get it to even show up!! And when I click on gifts for the games, half the time they never show up in game but are gone. At least it's not just me... I thought my new computer was bugged!!

Nope, everyone's having problems since the great 'Improvement' of Feb'10. I'm guessing it won't be the last 'Improvement' this year... at least, I honestly hope not. They'll have to be an improvement to fix this improvement, and then an improvement to screw things up again, and another fix, and... O.o

But no, it's not just you. :)

I got inducted into Google Buzz today, and I'm hoping this will overshadow Facebook. Of course, I'm just on FB for the games anyway.

I haven't seen anything on Buzz (didn't they just come out with Wave? What happened to that?), but I really don't think I can handle *another* site! I already have three blogs (which, thankfully, I can all update from one!), a Twitter, a Facebook (oh, and a blog associated with my Facebook because I'm an idiot and didn't figure how to work the 'notes' section and wanted to make longer posts)...

But, yeah, I'm pretty much on FB just for the games, though I'm making a lot of Belly Dance contacts now...
