Saturday, lovely Saturday. What to do with you...

* Begin my quest to re-read all of the HP books before the new one comes out?
* Play Jewel Quest II?
* Craft?
* Clean the house?
* Make icons and play around LJ?
* Go back to sleep?

Decisions, decisions...

All of the Harry Potter's in one week? That's ambitious!

I can do it! One down... granted, it's one of the shortest ones...

I read ridiculously fast, though. It annoys most people!

I'm a really fast reader too, but that's really ambitious. Guessing you don't work as much as me. lol. ;)

Good luck with your endeavor!

I only work your standard 40 hours a week. The longest book took me just over 5 hours, just because they're really easy to read (my standard reading rate is 100 ppm, but it's faster for kid lit and slower for nonfiction).

I think I'll get the second one finished this evening, then three and at least part of four on Sunday. A few hours after work on Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thurs and I'll be set!

*ARGH* - of course I meant pph, not ppm. Evidently there *is* a limit to the number of things my brain can process at once!

I have been considering the same quest. Though I need to get going if I'm going to make it... I tend to read rather quickly. However, every so often the reading will trigger a tangent, and my mind will follow that for a while. So while the reading itself goes quickly, books on average take longer than the reading speed would imply.

That, and there are the distractions... dog wants to go for a walk, hubby wants dinner... I suddenly realize I'm dying of thirst and cramping since I haven't moved in hours...

Did you just say you read 100 pages per minute...?

Yeah, I caught that (http://smeddley.livejournal.com/244501.html?thread=2088981#t2088981) right after I posted it. I really wish we could edit comments. :/

LOL. I was gonna say "I... how!?!"

Man, I wish I could, though. That giant pile of 'books to read' in my nightstand would go down a heck of a lot faster!
Sunday, July 15th, 2007 01:30 am (UTC)
LOL. I feel ya there.
Saturday, July 14th, 2007 04:07 pm (UTC)
aw heck, go to sleep!

I had too much of a headache... but I feel a nap coming on!
