The latest newspost has 100 pages of comments, last I checked. Looks like a lot of people are waiting for an explanation, and won't be leaving until they get it, servers be damned.
*conveniently forgets to mention that she might possibly be one of said people*
You know, one person in that news post made a good point. Leaving is... sure, they won't get our money, but they'll 'win', too.
Perhaps the best thing would be if EVERYONE who had a Plus account downgraded to Basic, and no one renewed their Paid accounts, and people just keep creating new journals. For every fandom journal that falls, create 10 new ones. For every RPJ character that 'dies', create 10 new characters, twice as evil.
But make sure it's all FREE. Don't pay them directly or indirectly (advertsising dollars - if the number of Plus accounts drops sharply, they'll have a harder time getting money for ads).
I saw that, and I agree. Also, contacting sponsors directly (http://adis723.livejournal.com/91375.html?view=636655#t636655) might get a fast response, especially if the rumors are true and that's how WFI got all of this started in the first place.
It's starting to get more attention (http://firefox.org/news/articles/408/1/Six-Apart-Deletes-500-LiveJournals-Many-Fannish/Page1.html). Slowly, but surely, the news stories are showing up...
