I remember a crime show I once saw (I cannot remember if it was a true-life forensic show or a CSI-ish show) where they raised ink marks from a dead girl's palm to try to figure out who she was (it was a phone number, if I recall correctly).

My normal method of remembering things is to write on a thick rubber band and slip it over my wrist (not to be removed until I do what it tells me to).

But today I got lazy and scribbled a reminder on my palm. I don't know what police would think if they found a body with the words "sewing machine foot / ducks".

...though since they were both internet purchases, made with the same credit card, goodness knows they might (given enough time and a really big computer) actually be able to figure it out.

Why I had those two things written on my hand, however, might remain a mystery. Albeit a really boring one once you know.

Speaking of stories, anyone want to place odds on my caving and attempting NaNo again? As it gets closer, my resolve to never ever ever ever ever do that again is faltering (I know, shocking, right?).

LOL.

I admit that when I work as a cleaning lady or now when I deliver mail it amuses me to think that my fingerprints are present in someone's house and the amount of confusion it would generate should it ever become a crime scene.

Also given the amount of blood and other bodily fluids present in my house between a very clumsy person and an equally idiotic dog who is always bleeding from one paw or another I often think this place would be lit up like Vegas.

edited for some glaring grammatical errors

You shall do Nano! I believe it. I'm going to!

I just found out there'll be a 50% discount on Scrivener-for-Windows for those who complete Nano, so I think I'm doing it too. (I could lie, obviously, but that seems kind of a dick move, and if I'm unemployed all through November there's really no reason for me not to give it a good go.)

I don't want to do it...I don't want to do it...I promised never again...

I feel somewhat better that I'm not the only one who has these thoughts! (I've wondered if someone could get my fingerprints off the tape I used to send packages and frame me for a crime... I bet it'd work on CSI!)

I don't want to see my house doused in Luminol - between my clumsy self (the amount of blood I shed last time I sliced my finger open on a tin can was shocking) and whatever may have happened in this house in its 30+ years (I don't want to know), I'm sure it'd be scary.

I always say never again, but... yeah, I always do :D

You can do it!

Scrivener looks yummy (virtual cork board! *squee*), but I'm not a real writer and I don't outline or do research so I probably can't justify buying it. But it looks so fun!

Yeah, me too. I promised in 2006, and 2007, and 2008, and 2009... and I just bet I'll make that same promise in December of 2010!

Oooooh, how did I forget it was NCIS? I recently started watching that show and am HOOKED. I LOVE IT. And unlike most shows, it was great from show 1 (I've been getting the DVDs from the library).

I hope you're doing well, too, I've missed you!

i watch any and all NCIS that i can get my hands on.... i run the treadmill to the shows, eat while the show is on, craft, or just plain zone out.
i could stare at mark harmon all day.
i love their weekend marathons...

nice to hear from you too!
you know, i read your posts about organizing and cleaning and i get so.. well jealous for one, but also i feel like a heel as i have PILES of craft stuff (and photography stuff) all over the dang place. and guess what? it all stays there! lol.

i currently have bags of yarn all over the bed for a headdress that i am making for 'faerie nite' with my girl friends on a halloweenie nite. (we are all alco-faeries... i'm the faery of beer, my friends are the faeries of wine and absinthe. lol.)

i am making snakelets with googly eyes for a potter convention in april. i have snakelet parts ALL over the kitchen. googly eyeballs everywhere. (i'm making like 2,000 of the little suckers. pins and pets. lol)

and don't get me started on the photog stuff. i graduated a year ago and half my portfolios are exactly where i dropped them after my last final. lol

sorry to talk your ear off...
but you make me look bad!!! lolol
