Accidentally on purpose

I forgot my gym bag, so I can't go work out at lunch. And I don't really have anything else to do. If I go shopping I'll just spend money I don't need to. I wish the library was back next door, I could browse through the books (the temp location only has a few browsing books, dvds, audiobooks, and holds pickup).

I wish I'd brought some knitting.

Or felt like writing.

It's going to be a long day.

Lol. Did you forget your gym bag on purpose? I have a coworker who will nail me to the wall if he catches me not going to the gym. I bring a book in and read whilst doing cardio. Goes so much faster.

Subconsciously, perhaps.

I do need someone to hold me accountable when I don't go - I can get to the classes, because I like the instructor and I feel like I'm disappointing her if I don't show up. But just going and working out? Much harder.

Maybe we should have a what I did at the gym today thread so you have someone to be responsible to.

You could spin around in your chair!

[identity profile] smeddley.livejournal.com 2009-06-17 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Or, you know, not.

I think doing that for an hour would make me really sick. Then again, if I puked on my boss I could probably go home...

I said could, not should! :p

[identity profile] smeddley.livejournal.com 2009-06-17 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
True. I could also repeatedly staple myself in the face!

[identity profile] misfitandmom.livejournal.com 2009-06-17 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't spin but you could push yourself back and forth on it. That is good excercise for the legs at least - even the physical therapists use it.

I have been doing upper-body belly dancing moves to my music all day. People walking by my office probably wonder if I'm having a seizure!

You could smoke.

I know, I sound like a crazy person today.

hi smeddley, from your favorite crazy person.

I didn't sleep last night.

But ok, I have this thing about smoking. I don't smoke. Everyone I know smokes. And at work, when people take smoking breaks, they go outside all the time, they stare at the clouds, the sunset, sunrise (I've always worked odd hours)...and I've always wanted to smoke-- not for the smoke but just to have an excuse to go stand outside and watch the world go by.

See? Crazy!

I should try to get some sleep now.

I know! I want not-smoke breaks - just go outside and wander around, get some fresh air... chat a bit...

Do they still make candy cigarettes, or are they too un-pc? I could go munch on a cigarette four times a day!

[identity profile] mmmontserrat.livejournal.com 2009-06-19 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
oh the candy cigarettes are not made out of tobacco! They're chewing gum or chocolate or other sweets.
