So three guesses to how productive I was this weekend! Okay, really, I did accomplish a lot... just not at my house. I went over to my friend's house on Saturday and helped her clean out her office/craft room/wrapping station. We spent about 6 hours on it and made a dent, though there's loads more to do. But it's at that stage where you step back and go 'okay, I'm getting a handle on what I have and what I want to keep in here, now what is the best way to organize it?' I told her I'd come back and help her finish up once she'd done some sorting and decided how she wanted things set up. Why is it so much easier at someone else's house?

But speaking of my own house, guess what I bought this weekend? A labeler! It was $25 (and $6 for extra tape) that I didn't need to spend, but everyone else has one... and [livejournal.com profile] tjstein made a start labeling my stuff and I have to admit... I like it. I still don't *need* it (I do remember where I store things) but... it is nice. There. And besides, I can re-do the labels on the spice jars (they've been bugging me) and make nice file-folder labels, and all sorts of things. *nods* Right. I'm not going to go overboard and label the dog or anything, but maybe - just maybe - I'll get a little more organized? Hey, I can dream!

My to-do list is still out of control, though I did finish off a few things and made some progress on others. No corporate zombies yet, but I did work on the memo board for the kitchen and finished up those fabric grocery bags. That's about it, though. Man, now that I think about it, I really didn't do anything. And I only read about 30 pages! *sigh*

Wow, this is one boring entry, I'm sorry! I'll try to make the next one more entertaining.

Anyone want a story postcard?

Also, I think I need to buy the Carnival Rubber Duckies, if not just for the two-headed duck. But then I'd have to find more to buy to make the shipping worth it... It's a vicious cycle.

I also need to start posting my books to GoodReads. Anyone want to friend me there you can, and to those that already have... I'll really start updating.

Same with Ravelry. I finally posted a few things there, though I'm not nearly as talented as most people on that site. Still, I'm actually starting to use it, so... :D

I'm on Good Reads. You're on Good Reads. We should be Good Reads pals.

I knew that.

Don't get me started on to do lists. Now that I don't have to work, suddenly mine is huge.

I got a random story post card the other day, but since they lack return addresses I wasn't positive the source. Was it you?

That two headed ducky is a hoot. Not sure I'd want any of the others though.

GoodReads?

Right, I'm supposed to be finding a plumber right now. I should get back to that... Stupid plumbers.

I agree, it's much easier when it's not your own house. I could use someone to come help me with my basement. My mom is always willing to jump into those sorts of projects when she visits, but, it's best for me to work with someone other than my mother. Except for painting, she keeps me moving with painting.

So, what do you do with all your duckies? Are they displayed somewhere?

I need to get your address... I accidentally threw away the wrap from when you sent me ducks, and I meant to send you a postcard story too. I especially wanted to mail out all kinds of letters when I drove past Climax, Michigan this weekend (twice), because I'm all of 12 years old and would get a giggle out of the P.O. stamping it so.

Probably was, especially if it wasn't a proper postcard (I did all DIY postcards, that is, a picture printed on cardstock and cut out). :D

Yeah, that's the problem, I really only love the two-headed one. *sigh* Why can't I just buy one?!

Ergh, good luck on the plumber. If you loved around here I could recommend one, but I fear he wouldn't travel that far... ;)

They are going to eventually be displayed... when I re-do the master bath. One of these days. *sigh*

I think I have an e-mail from you, I'll reply and send you my address. :) And I'd totally giggle at that, too, so you're not alone!
