To raise awareness of animal abuse, the T-Bones (a minor league baseball club in KC) will host a "Welcome to the neighborhood" party for Michael Vick, who is being sent to Leavenworth. They will wear black-and-white striped jerseys and the opponents will wear orange ones, and the ballpark will be decorated in a prison theme. Animals will be available for adoption on-site.

Seems a lot of people think it's in bad taste, but honestly, if it raises money and boosts adoption, I think it's great. And really, you have to be a little absurd about things sometimes or it'll just depress you too much. Mocking is good for the spleen.

...

BAD taste would have been if it featured lube and shives...

I think it's an awesome idea!!! I had to read the article to understand the Michael Vick situation... asshole. Dog-fighting is in bad taste, raising money for animals and publicly shaming someone who deserves it? Poetic justice (well, sort of).

Now all they need is a Dominatrix and a guy in a combination dog suit/submissive slave outfit.
