Tried to go to class last night, made it 30 minutes (sort of) and was dying and hacking up a lung. Blergh.

Still need to reply a few places and send some emails, maybe tonight. Maybe. Haven't really wanted to sour at my computer, to be honest.

I do want to at least do a list/rating of the movies I watched in January - I'm pretty sure I'll hit the 50 before February is out.

Very upset about the elimination on Face Off last night. I remember why I stopped watching tv now. Argh.

Bonus entry to the cup of random gifts if you can tell me which of the following I do NOT own:

Compound miter saw
Cookie dough scoop
38 special
Eyelash curler
Yarn swift

Happy Wednesday everyone!

This one was somewhat relevant to me, since it would be a cool technique for some bellydance shows (since I am NOT willing to get a real tattoo).

The Pintester (nsfw if your work does not like a lot of swearing, btw) tried it and it worked for her. Me? Not so much. And I attempted it multiple times with many different pens, all the results were the same.

Here is the pin/link/instructions I used.

I'm horribly guilty of trying so hard to make things "easier" I end up making them much more complex/difficult. Especially with crafting. Sometimes a bit of hand sewing, though tedious, really is the best way. And I think this pin falls into that category.

This is the pin, and if you look at the picture I think you can already see a problem. She's slopped the glue all over the base of the nail! So when she goes to peel up the glue, half her nail polish will come with it. There's the crux of my problem with this one - you still have to be somewhat precise putting something on, in this case it's the glue, but it's still something you have to apply correctly.

I did, however, find that I could apply the glue I used (Ailene's Tacky Glue, I don't have Elmer's) with my finger because it is a very thick glue. And it was pretty easy to get in the right place (but, and here's the thing - I don't really have that much trouble getting my nail polish on neatly, so why was I ever trying this pin?! Oh, right, the trying to make something that is simple easier by making it harder...). But then, it was thicker, so it took FOREVER to dry, even using my hairdryer.
