But every now and then, you run across one that really sucks. I bought a 20-pack of games, and it was cheap so I'm not surprised that one sucks, I'm sure there will be more, but Vampire Saga: Pandora's Box took suck to new heights. Usually they suck because the graphics are bad or the story is horrible or the music is annoying, or all three, but this is the first one I've run into that had this much of a persistent problem with identifying objects, which, you know, is a pretty important part of the game.
Tell me, follow the cursor and what do you see?

I see broccoli. It's a drab grey and rather grainy, but it looks like broccoli to me.
It's not, apparently. According to the game, that's cabbage. Which makes me wonder what I've been putting in my cabbage soup...
Earlier in the game I was getting frustrated because what it calls "bottles" and "vases" and "pans" seems to be pretty... inconsistent, and there was a scene that had an old-style (loop) bugle and a tuba in it, and it asked you to find the trumpet... which was, apparently, the tuba. I had already played though Vampire Sage: Hell Lock, which, although it had a bit of a hokey story, wasn't too bad.
...and I was just called to sub for the BD class in a little over an hour, so I need to go get ready and make a CD and all that good stuff. Hopefully I'll remember to come back and leave comments where I was going to - I swear I've been reading, but I just haven't had the energy. I'm not sleeping well as I think the house is trying to kill us (again). Bah.
