We've gotten to 100% complete on Lego Batman 2. I have sworn up and down that I will not continue to give the company money because the quality has gone to crap, but you know I'm going to be all over Lego Lord of the Rings the second it comes out. But for now, phew, done!
I want to work on Lego Harry Potter 2, but the Xbox in the bedroom is so LOUD. It's not in a cabinet and the noise drives me crazy. I never even finished Lego Harry Potter 1, I don't know why. Just never grabbed me? Too hard to navigate the hub? I dunno.
Working on a craft for a craft swap, I'm REALLY getting back into cross stitching. It's a slower craft, but maybe that's good for me - I tend to rush things too much (I know, how can I say that when I'm so behind on so many things, but it's true!).
I need to get into my writing, I haven't done anything on the new writing challenge, but Junetide is done! Can you guess which is mine? I'll give you a hint, I always go the anonymous route. I don't know why I do that, I think it's a lack of confidence in my work, perhaps.
I did try two new recipes this weekend - chocolate chip cookies made with crushed frosted mini wheat cereal, and peach bread. Both were good, but I'm still behind schedule on trying new recipes. It's just so hard to cook when it's hot out, it drains the desire to do anything, and I don't want to heat up the house. That's also my excuse for not vacuuming. Yes, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
The only bad things going on is the nerve that serves the "flip flop" area of my foot (between the big toe and the next toe) is really acting up. I don't know if it's my back, or what, but mostly it feels like a hair is caught between my toes and it's really annoying. I know I have another bulging disk in my back (above the one that was already removed) but I really hope it's not getting worse. I guess I need to get back on the sit-ups, oddly, doing a lot of those seems to alleviate (temporarily) my back issues in a way that no amount of other exercise (even things like belly rolls and pelvic drops, which work the same muscles?) seems to. I hate sit-ups.
I'm really thinking about buying a tablet, but I don't know if it will be handy for what I want it for - namely things like writing. I don't know that I could really do much typing on it, and to be honest, using the swype on my phone is probably faster (but the only place I know to type anything in to save for later is my e-mail, and... that just isn't something I want to deal with. I'll... think about it.
